Our story

How ePARTS came to be

Jargon Aviation Consultancy was established in May 2000. For training and consulting on aviation regulations, we needed access to up-to-date regulatory information — and since EASA did not provide that, we developed ePARTS ourselves. First for internal use only, and since 2010 also as a service available to everyone.

Originally, ePARTS were published as rich, hyperlinked PDF files covering the EASA requirements on a subject. When EASA later introduced their Easy Access Rules — which are out of date most of the time — we moved on and built an online application with direct access to our regulations database, from any device. The classic ePARTS (PDF) are still available for users who prefer or need offline access. Two people at Jargon are constantly updating the database, developing new features and providing support.
